100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the McGah Vineyard on the southeastern border of the Rutherford appellation. Despite some ups and downs early in the growing season, a warm and not too hot late summer created nearly perfect harvest conditions in 2020. The wine was aged in 80 gallon stainless steel barrels to promote and develop aromatic purity.
Harvested from twenty-year old vines planted with the To Kalon clone, the block was farmed to yields (less than four tons per acre) typically not seen with Sauvignon Blanc. The result was more consistent ripeness throughout the block which added a unique richness and texture to balance the grapes natural acidity.
