The O.P.C. is Buoncristiani’s Napa Valley proprietary red blend. In the quest to create a wine uniquely theirs, they discovered the synergy of marrying Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, while also folding in further complexities of texture and flavor with Napa Malbec and Merlot blenders. Grapes are sourced from some of Napa’s most prestigious vineyards including Hyde, Stagecoach, Hossfeld and Bennett. Just like their winemaking fathers before them, with “Ol’ Pa’s Cuvée” the four brothers continue the family tradition of handcrafting blends that enhance the enjoyment of life.

Coming from Napa Valley, the 2016 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, all aged in new barrels. This cuvée is made with the idea to be slightly more accessible and offers a St. Emilion-like feel in its blue fruits, tobacco leaf, crushed rocks, and cedary, spice-laced aromas and flavors. It’s full-bodied, has a layered, balanced texture, and terrific tannin quality. It’s another powerful yet elegant wine from Keplinger.
The 2017 Brothers Blend is a favorable introduction to the Ellman suite of wines. An instant favorite in any setting, it’s filled with aromatics of black cherries, cassis and star anise. The expansive palate ranges from freshly picked blackberries and boysenberries to dark chocolate and baking spice. With substantial heft yet refreshing acidity, it maintains a versatile style, pairing well with your favorite choice for the brai, be it ribeye or barbequed spare ribs, even Maitake mushrooms!
The 2018 Brothers Blend is an apt entrée into the Ellman line-up of wines. Approachable, and then some, it offers a deep, opaque violet cast, billowing with intense aromas of crème de cassis, blackberries, espresso and cigar box. On the palate, complexity abounds with lush red and black fruits, from cranberry and raspberry to black cherries and plums, giving way to notes of cacao, as well as hints of herbal and floral notes such as rosemary and violet. Incredibly soft and polished, it packs excellent density without a rough edge in sight. With mouth-coating tannins giving way to a fresh finish, it pairs instantly with your favorites on the grill from a nice boerewors or Presa Iberico, to the garden’s bounty, like summer squash and zucchini.
The nose has notes of lavender and rose hips along with fragrant red fruits. The palate has red and black current with black tea and soy notes. The 2013 Serenity Way is rich and intense.... and at the same time elegant. This wine can proudly stand with great Cabernet-based wines from anywhere on earth. Try it in a lineup of top Bordeaux and Super-Tuscan’s just for fun!
Some notably captivating aromas on the bouquet include dense vanillin, baking spices, leather, rose water, mocha, alluring luxardo cherries, White Rabbit Chinese candy, and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, it's bold, complex, opulent, and captivating with dense notes of blackcurrant, crème de cassis, dark cherry liqueur, pencil shavings, and a perennially focused coffee finish. It's the perfect combination of innocence and mastery. In fact, if one didn't know better, this could easily be mistaken for a Cabernet Sauvignon.
By popular demand, this 2016 Audēre Red Blend (42% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 9% Cabernet Franc, & 1% Malbec) best-seller is topping the charts with an increased total production of 239 cases . In typical bold fashion, it comes out guns blazing with lots of extract, some serious tannin, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Turn off the lights and see for yourself.

Baking spice, marmalade and rich cherry pie layer the mouthfeel. Ripe fig, tobacco leaf, and a slightly smoked meat quality in the finish. Round and supple with velvety tannins. Good structure should reward aging over the next decade.
