The wine exhibits a deep garnet hue in the glass. Our first impression is WOW, just wow. Aromas are expansive and bright throughout - concentrated, ripe and layered. Strong aromatics of dark berry, cedar, spice, cherry, cinnamon and toasty French oak give complexity and opulent appeal. The 2015 was an early harvest producing very little crop, yet what was picked is spectacular. Across the palate it is a big wine, lush with gorgeous pure flavors and a long, persistent finish that brings to mind notes of warm cherry. Although still very young, the structure and balance of this wine makes it compelling to taste now and bodes well for age-ability. This will be one of the star vintages of the decade.
The 2016 Syrah is deep garnet-purple colored with lifted black cherries, black berries and blueberry compote with notions of olives, herbs, peppered salami and violets. The palate is full, rich and seductive with firm, rounded tannins and layers of perfumed fruit, finishing very long.
The 2018 Red Blend O.P.C. races out of the glass with an exotic mélange of red cherry, raspberry, rose petals, cinnamon and blood orange. The tannins are potent, but there is just enough fruit to balance things out. Give it a few years to soften.

The full-bodied palate is densely packed with bright, energetic black fruits, supported by firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long with loads of floral and mineral sparks.
