The 2017 Bacigalupi Chardonnay has a nose of lemon zest and vanilla bean. The palate opens with red pear and Meyer lemon, and brioche toast and honey comb notes on the finish. Like well-made Chardonnay from great vineyards around the world this wine benefits from getting some air, will age for years, and is best when served chilled around 50degrees. This wine will evolve in the bottle for many years to come. A terrific wine from one of Sonoma County's top sites for Chardonnay.
The 2017 Flanagan Cabernet has classic Cabernet notes of cedar, violets, and Christmas spices. The palate has Red and Black Current, Bay Leaf, and Tobacco. As always, the wine has a surprising amount of tannin structure for New World Cabernet. All of the Cabernet comes from hillside sites and the small berries produced from the steep, volcanic sites give the wine great color and concentration. This is a Cabernet that has the structure and secondary notes of a top Left Bank wine. Great farming, top vineyard sites, and restraint in the winemaking result in a balanced, age-worthy Cabernet.
The 2017 Ritchie Chardonnay has a very expressive nose of jasmine. honeysuckle, and orange blossom. The palate is dominated by stone fruits like apricot and fresh peach and has a gorgeous minerality that carries the wine. This is a stunning wine, from one of Sonoma County’s most coveted sites for Chardonnay and will evolve in the bottle for many years to come.
The nose displays white peach and citrus blossoms. On the palate there are notes of ripe lemon, fresh pear, and almost ripe peach. This is a clean, bright style of Viognier and a perfect first course wine.
This wine is another pillar in the argument that Bennett Valley should focus on Rhone varieties. This is a quintessential Viognier and a lovely example of what the grape can do in California when it is well farmed, not over-ripe, and made in a balanced way.

By popular demand, this 2016 Audēre Red Blend (42% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 9% Cabernet Franc, & 1% Malbec) best-seller is topping the charts with an increased total production of 239 cases . In typical bold fashion, it comes out guns blazing with lots of extract, some serious tannin, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. It is an exuberant, rich wine with red cherries, oodles of black fruits, and coffee notes. Very reminiscent of the inaugural 2013 Audēre, this is sure to please even the biggest Sideways-Loving, Merlot-Hater...and yes, the rumors are true…. this label glows-in-the dark! Turn off the lights and see for yourself.
2016 was an extraordinarily epic vintage. It was the fifth consecutive outstanding vintage, and at the time of harvest, we thought it was the best of the decade. All of our fruit slowly matured and ripened, containing the proper phenolics that we strive to have every vintage. We had a decent winter, which meant that we had more irrigation water and more control of hang-time on the vines. With more hang time came more complexity and character, creating more balance in the vineyards. With a total production of 562 cases of the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, this elegant powerhouse all hails from highly-esteemed, volcanic Napa areas such as the Pritchard Hill area, Howell Mountain, Atlas Peak, and our very own Rockwell Ridge estate vineyard (35 feet below Howell Mountain). We’re honored that this wine recently won GOLD at Texsom (back-to-back years!), arguably the most prestigious wine competition in the country featuring 19 Master Sommeliers and 16 Masters of Wine on their judging panel.
