A different beast, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is more backward and reticent, and while it needs 4-5 years of bottle age, is packed with potential. Both black and blue fruits, earth, tobacco, and freshly crushed rock notes all flow to a full-bodied 2016 that has plenty of fine tannins, remarkable purity of fruit, and beautiful intensity and length. Do your best to give this some bottle age, and you’ll be rewarded with a phenomenal Napa Valley Cabernet that will keep for 2-3 decades.

2015 logged a vintage of high quality, but at the price of a small crop for the Napa Valley. Warm temperatures leading up to harvest, really tested winemaker's abilities to demonstrate their skill and talent in the cellars to craft fine wines of balance and finesse; rather than just Cabernet Sauvignon's packed with jammy fruit. We believe our wines aligns closely with the former, as our owner-winemaker Roger Harrison, devoted countless hours and poured his greatest efforts into the production of our 2015 Zosia Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon.

Brian Nuss, Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The 2014 a lot  with a higher degree of natural acidity present on the palate, making the wines more racy in their youth and giving us the luxury of a long evolution in the bottle. Characteristic red fruits light up the front palate red raspberries and bing cherries start the experience the wine stays focused through the mid palate and very gracefully moves to the back palate where dark cherry notes highlight the plum, currant and cassis notes of the vineyard

Vinoce Vineyards Comments: We are dedicated to producing an outstanding wine that reflects the vineyards origins. Our 2014 is crafted from carefully selected blocks of grapes to yield intense, deeply colored wine with concentrated aromas and flavors.

As with other 2015 Cabernets, the Oakville is startling for its sheer size and weight. The older vines deliver classic black raspberry, licorice, espresso bean and crushed stones in the nose and on the palate. The tiny yields are responsible for the intensity of the color and structure this year. This beautiful wine should show well upon release, but a year or two (or a decade) of cellar time will help the wine show its best.
