Greeting with notes of apple blossom and honeysuckle, this Chardonnay shows beautifully forward and bright early on in its life in the bottle. This vintage is fresh and complex with rich tones of creme brulee balancing the citrus. Mouth watering minerality completes to make this a perfect pairing for a multitude of dishes from both land and sea.
Our Buoncristiani Napa Valley Chardonnay focuses primarily on fruit, minerality and balanced acidity, with secondary flavors of integrated new French oak richness framed by a full mid palate and a lingering finish.
The 2016 marks the eighth vintage of Buoncristiani Chardonnay, a wine that focuses primarily on fruit, minerality and balanced acidity, with secondary flavors of integrated new French oak richness framed by a full mid palate and a lingering finish.
We sourced fruit for the 2014 Flanagan Chardonnay Bacigalupi Vineyard from one of their top blocks. Bacigalupi was the source of the Chateau Montelena Chardonnay that, famously, beat the French wines at the “Judgement of Paris” tasting in 1976.
This polished Chardonnay combines graceful poise and purity with full-bodied richness and structure. The bouquet displays tropical fruit, honeysuckle and hints of lemon zest. The palate is alive with bright acidity and delicate minerality followed by notes of citrus, guava and crème brulee. Lingering flavors and textural richness lead to a long-lasting, luxurious finish full of character and finesse.
“Vibrant and racy aromas of pineapple and other tropical fruits laced with citrus peel and a hint of wet stone. A beautiful and rich mouthfeel with notes of orange blossom and nectarine all framed by lip smacking acidity. A Chardonnay to enjoy now but worthy of several years in the cellar.”
We continue to work with two unique blocks of Chardonnay from the acclaimed Haynes Vineyard in Coombsville just east of the town of Napa. Planted in 1966 by Duncan and Pat Haynes, the vineyard has been growing Chardonnay for over 40 years and only a few select wineries have had access to the Haynes fruit.
