Bright, medium ruby color with purple overtones. The wine offers generous aromas of violet, plum, anise, cassis, and mint with restrained floral overtones. On the palate, it is light and well-balanced clean fruit. Medium body and ripe tannins with juicy plum, blackberry and dusty coffee notes in the background, all magnified on a long, subtle finish.

Though we have sourced fruit in the past for the Jemma and Brothers Blend, 2014 marks our first vineyard designate bottling from Beckstoffer Georges 111. This 300-acre parcel, located in Rutherford, was first purchased by Beaulieu founder Georges de Latour in 1928 and called Beaulieu Vineyard Number 3. It was home to BV’s Rutherford Cabernets made by the renowned winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. These wines achieved wide acclaim in the 1960’s and 70’s, establishing BV’s pre-eminence in the making of fine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Purchased by Beckstoffer Vineyards in 1988, the vineyard has since been replanted using new Cabernet Sauvignon clones with tighter spacing and advanced trellising systems, enhancing both quality and grape tonnage.

Lovely deep crimson-ruby color, with an intense bouquet of violet and cassis laced with wisps of herbal aromas like a breeze blowing across hills of lavender and thyme. Creamy on the palate with a bit of oak and caramel to back up the black fruit, plum and anise. Crisp acidity gives the wine real dimension and length on the palate with very ripe and subtle tannins and sweet cherry fruit on the extremely long finish.

Sourced from high in the eastern Vaca Mountains of Napa Valley, the fruit for our 2016 vintage Sauvignon Blanc arrived at the winery packed with vibrant fruit flavors, intense aromatic character, and mouth-watering acidity.  This young wine is pure pleasure in the glass, with subtle notes of flint, wet clay, and lemongrass mingling with the forward tropical and citrus notes that frame the wine.  On the palate, the bracing acidity calls out for fresh seafood and a large body of water to pull up next to.  While it will continue to open and evolve with time in the bottle, this latest vintage of our Sauvignon Blanc can be enjoyed straight away.

Our 2016 Jemma is marked by a deep ruby hue, with brooding, intense aromatics of spice and smoked charcuterie, laced with a dark fruit profile of cassis, pomegranate and bing cherries. Muscular and weighty on the palate, the intense fruit character is precisely framed by polished tannins and an enduring, lengthy finish. A happy pair with an impromptu date night and steak frites!

87% Cabernet Sauvignon (from Stagecoach-50%, Beckstoffer George III-40% and Ellman Estate-10%), 9% Petit Verdot (from Ellman Estate), 4% Merlot (from Hudson Vineyards). The 2016 Brothers Blend is a favorite at any table. It's readily approachable style makes it a perennial, emanating with notes of cassis, cocoa, sarsaparilla and a myriad of herbs reminiscent of Chartreuse.  Bright and fresh on the palette, it abounds with a gamut of red and black fruits from cherries to blackberries and plums, with notes of incense, oolong and pencil lead.  Walking the tight rope of a brooding, sultry expressive wine balanced by refreshing acidity and a tightly-wound core, the 2016 Brothers Blend pairs swimmingly with a range of fare from BBQ to roast duck.
