A big, full-bodied expression of Cabernet! A celebration-favorite when paired with herb-spiced turkey and cranberries or grilled pork loin with apricot chutney.
The 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is energetic and vibrant with layers of black cherries, and licorice. Rounded out with hints of cedar, white pepper and mountain sage. A beautiful representation of a Howell Mountain Cabernet!

It has a dense purple color and reveals notes of cocoa, chocolate, Asian plum sauce and black cherries. It is a sensual, layered and full-bodied wine that is balanced, complex, distinctive, and connected to its Napa Valley terroir. The wine will age well for a decade or more. No technological gimmicks were used making this wine. It was crafted by one of Napa Valley’s iconic winemakers who puts his trust in his instinct and palate when crafting wines that are among Napa Valley’s finest.
In typical bold fashion, the 2017 Audere comes out guns blazing with lots of extract, some serious tannin, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. This blend hails from ultra-premium, volcanic Napa areas such as the Pritchard Hill area, Howell Mountain, Atlas Peak, and Rockwell Ridge estate vineyard (35 feet below Howell Mountain). It is an exuberant, rich wine with red cherries, oodles of black fruits, and coffee notes. Very reminiscent of the inaugural 2013 Audere, this is sure to please even the biggest Sideways-Loving, Merlot-Hater!
With a total production of 225 cases of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, this elegant powerhouse (87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc) all hails from highly-esteemed, volcanic Napa areas such as the Pritchard Hill area, Howell Mountain, Atlas Peak, and Hertelendy's very own Rockwell Ridge estate vineyard (35 feet below Howell Mountain). Barrel aged 23 months in 90% New French and Hungarian Oak, this wine recently won DOUBLE GOLD at Sunset International Wine Competition and received 97 points
With only 239 cases produced, the 2017 Russian River Valley Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay may just be the best Chardonnay produced to date. Being the second Chardonnay vintage that Phillip Corallo-Titus worked on with Ralph, there’s more acidity and balance than in previous vintages. Robert Parker’s Erin Brooks described this vintage as having a “softly, savory character” and a “long, juicy finish”. Jeb Dunnuck mentions that this wine reminds him of an old Meursault: “it’s full-bodied, ripe, and opulent, yet has good acidity.” This is a delicious wine that showcases more sophisticated restraint than previous vintages while carrying the typical elegant style you’ve grown to love. Be sure to chill it down until the lions change color, and then you’ll know you’re at the proper serving temperature!
The 2017 Signature Mountain Blend is once again a delectable representation of what our Estate Rockwell Ridge Vineyard (blended with Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill, & Atlas Peak fruit) can produce, making this wine very near and dear to our hearts. This limited case produced wine holds its own on the Hertelendy line up. Claimed by the critics as a “beautiful wine that “...explodes from the glass”. It’s the closest wine in our program that could be called an “Estate wine” with most of the blend coming from our very own Rockwell Ridge estate vineyard located 35 feet below the Howell Mountain AVA. Dubbed by many over the years as “The Petrus of Napa Valley”, we are thrilled to get this wine from our Estate to yours.
A blend of Coombsville and Yountville fruit, this wine is Julien’s interpretation of a classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. It possesses structure and elegance, bright flavors and an aromatic freshness. Powerful notes of spice and black fruit are derived from the ripeness of the berries and excite the palate.
A blend of Coombsville and Yountville fruit, this wine is Julien’s interpretation of classic Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Charismatic blackberry, boysenberry and sweet spice aromas on the nose expand into a broad, full expression of mocha and bright black fruits, with inviting wild blueberry and black raspberry notes. Fine-grain, mineral-driven tannins provide elegant structure to this graceful wine as it glides toward an irresistible finish of dark chocolate, espresso, and dried blueberry.
Julien’s Reserve Cabernet is crafted from multiple hillside vineyards spanning Napa Valley from north to south. Powerful and supple, this focused wine offers immenseenjoyment in its youth, but also has the structure and personality to evolve with grace in the cellar. The nose is dark and aromatic with juicy berries, coffee, and a touch of toasted brioche. In the mouth, the wine reveals its luminous purple fruit core, bright with sustained notes of plum and huckleberry, with spicy edges and a mid-palate burst of espresso with lemon zest. Soft, well-tailored tannins offer wonderful texture, while the lingering finish brings haunting notes of blackcurrant and mint tea.
