The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely limited production - Juicy vivid fruit of black cherry and pomegranate with blackberry preserves. Hints of dark chocolate, fresh tobacco leaf, wet stone and earth. Soft and lush in texture with fine grain tannins. Final notes of vanilla bean and cinnamon add richness and depth.

The 2017 Vermillion red blend has a very bright and ultra-lively nose showcasing raspberry coulis, dark fruit, brambled blackberry and black tea. The palate is broad, with fine tannins giving way after some air; while it shows a plush mouthfeel, layers of red and dark fruits, garrigue, coriander and middle eastern spices, all coming together in a mile long finish.
As with other 2015 Cabernets, the Oakville is startling for its sheer size and weight. The older vines deliver classic black raspberry, licorice, espresso bean and crushed stones in the nose and on the palate. The tiny yields are responsible for the intensity of the color and structure this year. This beautiful wine should show well upon release, but a year or two (or a decade) of cellar time will help the wine show its best.
