Classic notes of cherries and blackberries followed by a nice touch of vanilla for this dark red wine. A well-structured, balanced French oak touch in the mouth brings licorice and roasted caramel flavors over a long finish. Another outstanding vintage for Tela that brings you consistent quality.
Bright racy red fruit followed by layers of cassis, blackberry and dark chocolate. Complex and elevated aromas of fresh herbs, plush tannins and mouth coating texture slowly evolve in the glass toward deeper denser flavors. Enjoy this wine now for its exotic personality and approachability, or lay down for a few years to appreciate its evolving depth and nuance.
Complex aromas of plum, dried cherries, kirsch, and mocha are but precursors to the opulent juicy fruit on the palate. A broad flavor palette of cocoa, black cherry and cassis frame the soft, textured wine that is at once sleek, balanced while dense and lingering in its finish. Its approachability begs for near term consumption while its lively balance offers promise of more to come with time.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely limited production - Juicy vivid fruit of black cherry and pomegranate with blackberry preserves. Hints of dark chocolate, fresh tobacco leaf, wet stone and earth. Soft and lush in texture with fine grain tannins. Final notes of vanilla bean and cinnamon add richness and depth.
Presents a medley of tropical notes and generous texture all framed by refreshing acidity. Floral aromas of stone fruit, lemon oil and grapefruit rise above hints of cantaloupe and fresh papaya. Vibrant and complex with a creamy voluptuous mid-palate and laser-focused finish. Sourced from Farella and Tournesol vineyards. Barrel fermented in neutral oak for 6-7 months.
Elegant and ethereal, the 2019 vintage rises out of the glass with floral notes of fresh cherries, rose petal, peach, strawberry, orange zest and clove. The flavors reverberate, dancing vibrantly on the palate. This rosé is nuanced and complex with a soft, inviting texture and a clean refreshing acidity framing its long finish.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless expression of Napa Valley. Violets, plums, blackberry, and dark chocolate fill each glass. These focused aromas are complimented by a supple and opulent pallet. Each taste simply demands another. This seductive wine exhibits youthful characteristics and will continue to improve through the day it is drunk. Limited production - only 120 cases of this wine was produced.
Our 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon provides an opulent bouquet of sun-ripened Italian plums and fragrant blackberries. Chocolate and hints of anise round out the aromas. The palate is firm yet supple, with enough structure and power to carry this wine through.
“Our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dense and serious representation of Napa Valley. The concentration of this wine is an expression of the drought experienced by the vines during the 2014 growing season. Upon bottling, licorice and wild blackberries fill the glass along with nuances of camphor, biscuit and toffee.” Winemaker – Daniel Person
“Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon demonstrates freshness and poise. It exhibits black cherry, anise biscotti, and dried tobacco in the nose. The palate is immediate and intense, showing graphite, dark fruits, and finishing with dried sage. This wine is filled with tension and should age gracefully for many years.” Winemaker – Daniel Person
The 2017 Vermillion red blend has a very bright and ultra-lively nose showcasing raspberry coulis, dark fruit, brambled blackberry and black tea. The palate is broad, with fine tannins giving way after some air; while it shows a plush mouthfeel, layers of red and dark fruits, garrigue, coriander and middle eastern spices, all coming together in a mile long finish.
As with other 2015 Cabernets, the Oakville is startling for its sheer size and weight. The older vines deliver classic black raspberry, licorice, espresso bean and crushed stones in the nose and on the palate. The tiny yields are responsible for the intensity of the color and structure this year. This beautiful wine should show well upon release, but a year or two (or a decade) of cellar time will help the wine show its best.
