Riley's Rows is the project of Eric Flanagan's daughter Riley. Riley grew up with Flanagan Wines, and is now off on her own!
The 2018 Riley’s Rows Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from the Redwood Valley Grape Ranch which is farmed in Mendocino County. The wine offers a bright nose of Papaya and Honeydew Melon. The palate opens with ripe Meyer Lemon and resolves into a delightful Ruby Red Grapefruit note.

"This is a collector’s item that reminds me of a Soda Canyon version of the great Philip Togni’s Cabernet Sauvignon from Spring Mountain. Dense purple to the rim, with plenty of crème de cassis and hints of forest floor, truffle and white flowers, the wine is spicy, rich, multi-dimensional, with beautiful purity and a finish of close to 45+ seconds. A pure and powerful expression of Napa Valley’s best. The very limited production of 300 to 450 cases of Roy Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the end result of the meticulous efforts of our entire vineyard and winemaking team. Our single vineyard, Estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon is a sophisticated wine of striking complexity, deep concentration and substantial structure. Built to last, this wine is aged up to 28 months in Taransaud new French oak barrels to heighten complexity and deepen aromas. Our Roy Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has garnered consistent praise from wine experts and critics for every single of its vintages.
The 2015 Roy Estate "Mr. Evans" demands immediate attention with its deep, rich color, and further tantalizes with aromatics of dark, red fruits with a hint of savory herbs and baking spices. Lush and rich from the outset, this layered wine possesses a refined and sophisticated mouthfeel and reveals notes of blackberry, chocolate-covered cherry, black currant, and a touch of pine resin.
This is perhaps the most powerful Cabernet Sauvignon ever to come from Roy Estate. The wine is extremely aromatic showing layers of dark fruit, tobacco and cassis. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, bold and rich with ample blackberry, blueberry, cherry and dark chocolate. The wine possesses beautiful texture, a hint of sweetness and lingering finish. Well-integrated, silky tannins and nice acidity lift the wine. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a compelling example of the depth and power of the wines produced from this unique site. It is already drinking stunningly and will keep improving for the next 15-20 years.
The Mr. Evans Proprietary Red is undeniably alluring in 2016, exhibiting chocolate, dark plum and roasted coffee aromas with an undertone of cedar and pine. On the palate, blackberry and cassis form the backbone of the wine, while bright, red fruits provide ample lift and freshness. Aging in 100% new French oak barrels yields harmonious, silky tannins that give structure from front to back. The wine finishes with warm spices and a pleasing, subtle hint of sweetness.
Back again is the Napa Valley Zinfandel with the usual profile of ripe fruit with intensity. It has plenty of complexity with blackberry, cherry, blueberry, cinnamon, tobacco flavors. Try it over two days and watch the fruit core develop beautifully. We think you will enjoy it over the first few years with lots of different dishes.
The wine you are about to enjoy is produced by M.H.M. Wine Company of Napa, a very small wine venture started by Eric B. Mercier, who moved to California from his native Québec back in 1991. The 2014 vintage was produced from 100% Napa Valley fruit by the talented Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueno Winery.
Classic notes of cherries and blackberries followed by a nice touch of vanilla for this dark red wine. A well-structured, balanced French oak touch in the mouth brings licorice and roasted caramel flavors over a long finish. Another outstanding vintage for Tela that brings you consistent quality.
Bright racy red fruit followed by layers of cassis, blackberry and dark chocolate. Complex and elevated aromas of fresh herbs, plush tannins and mouth coating texture slowly evolve in the glass toward deeper denser flavors. Enjoy this wine now for its exotic personality and approachability, or lay down for a few years to appreciate its evolving depth and nuance.
Complex aromas of plum, dried cherries, kirsch, and mocha are but precursors to the opulent juicy fruit on the palate. A broad flavor palette of cocoa, black cherry and cassis frame the soft, textured wine that is at once sleek, balanced while dense and lingering in its finish. Its approachability begs for near term consumption while its lively balance offers promise of more to come with time.
