The ultra complex aroma profile of this wine exhibits layers of fresh white peaches, caramelized apricots, honeysuckle, orange blossom, subtle vanilla, and sweet spices. Flavors on the palate mirror white stone fruits, minerals, and exotic spices with a full body, vibrant acidity, and a long lingering finish.
A different beast, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is more backward and reticent, and while it needs 4-5 years of bottle age, is packed with potential. Both black and blue fruits, earth, tobacco, and freshly crushed rock notes all flow to a full-bodied 2016 that has plenty of fine tannins, remarkable purity of fruit, and beautiful intensity and length. Do your best to give this some bottle age, and you’ll be rewarded with a phenomenal Napa Valley Cabernet that will keep for 2-3 decades.
Coming from Napa Valley, the 2016 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, all aged in new barrels. This cuvée is made with the idea to be slightly more accessible and offers a St. Emilion-like feel in its blue fruits, tobacco leaf, crushed rocks, and cedary, spice-laced aromas and flavors. It’s full-bodied, has a layered, balanced texture, and terrific tannin quality. It’s another powerful yet elegant wine from Keplinger.
The 2015 Eternity is a spectacular vintage! Opulent in every way, perfectly balanced, a velvety texture, firmly structured...words do not do it justice.
While both the Suckling Report and the Wine Advocate awarded this vintage of Eternity 95pts, at the end of the day, what matters most is that the 2015 Eternity is a vintage to celebrate the ordinary and the extraordinary. That is what an exceptionally beautiful wine is all about. From bud break to bottle, the ’15 Eternity responded beautifully to all the love it received. It was a short, difficult growing year. Yet, as it is often said: well-seasoned growers and winemakers, who deeply understand the collaboration, science and art of winemaking, make all the difference.
The 2018 Wild Iris overflows with all you expect from this delightfully spirited muse. A golden hue, amazing aroma, opulent fruit, perfect crispness, velvety texture and a memorable finish, how wonderful to find all of this in your glass!
Bright, medium ruby color with purple overtones. The wine offers generous aromas of violet, plum, anise, cassis, and mint with restrained floral overtones. On the palate, the wine has well-balanced clean fruitiness. Elegant and light on the palate, with medium body and medium ripe tannins with juicy plum, cassis, blackberry, and dusty coffee notes in the background, all magnified on a long and subtle finish
Brown Vineyard produces some extraordinary wines. These wines have richness not common in Zinfandels without being overly alcoholic or sweet. There is a balance in the acidity from the warm days and extremely cool nights.

The 2014 Korte Ranch Zinfandel is both complex and intense. The wine has aromas of bright blackberries and plums with nice cedar and tobacco behind the fruit. The structure and tannins are smooth in this full bodied wine. This vintage of Korte Ranch has flavors of berries and hints of cedar and oak that meld into the long finish, which is loaded with berries and hints of smoky oak.
The 2017 Brothers Blend is a favorable introduction to the Ellman suite of wines. An instant favorite in any setting, it’s filled with aromatics of black cherries, cassis and star anise. The expansive palate ranges from freshly picked blackberries and boysenberries to dark chocolate and baking spice. With substantial heft yet refreshing acidity, it maintains a versatile style, pairing well with your favorite choice for the brai, be it ribeye or barbequed spare ribs, even Maitake mushrooms!
With an intense ruby caste, our 2017 Jemma has expressive aromatics of elderberries, black currants and a myriad of bramble fruits, peppered with hints of graphite, caramel and thyme. On the palate, it has a lush fruit profile of blackberry compote, plum clafoutis and a basket full of Bing cherries. Muscular and weighty on the palate, the dark fruit character is precisely framed by focused tannins and an enduring, lengthy finish. Aptly paired with a classic Beef Bourguignon or a simple dry-aged New York strip!
