Stone fruits, flowers and black cherries, all of the things that make a farmer's market perfection for me live in this fine wine. Ethereal lightness with intensity, this wine pushes your imagination one way and then another. Is it Nureyev or is it Bruce Lee? Either way it is a combination of tightly wound power in an incredibly artistic wrapper. It glides with an elegance and grace across the palate
The wine is very elegant with aromas of apricot, peach, carmel and honey, is balanced by a bright acidity, nice weight mid-palate,with copious amounts of apricot and peach that lingers to a crisp finish.
A deep ruby color with purple undertones, the aromas are vibrant, yet deep with an array of violets, blackberry, chocolate, cardamom and sweet toasted oak. The silky tannins and bold body frame the fruit, chocolate, and oak on the palate that linger through the wines lengthy and seamless finish.
The 2016 St. Helena Cab has a beautiful nose of crushed violets, dark chocolate, blackberry and cherry, slight anise and rose petals, a full-bodied palate offers a rich layer of savory spices, blueberry, a hint of vanilla bean and chocolate, the balance of acid and supple tannin structure with a long lasting finish makes this a wine to enjoy today or lay down for 10 years.
The 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is flushed with wild herbs, blackberry, cherry, cloves & anise. Rich flavors of chocolate, blackberries, & thyme are supported by the wines structured, opulent tannins, resulting in a dense, inviting wine that lingers on the palate with notes of black fruit, slate and cocoa.
Aromas of ripe blackberry and plum leap from the glass, as the flavors of lavender and black cherry Segway into herbal notes of dried sage. The substantial & dense coating tannins linger on the palate for more than 45 seconds and invites you to take another sip.
Very well balanced. The 2014 "Nobility" is delicately layered with aromas and flavors of honey, apricot, vanilla, pear, toasty oak, fig, tobacco, and a balanced acidity that carries through to a rich, honeyed finish.
The nose opens to dark fruits of plum, black cherry, and cassis married with an earthy essence of mushroom. With time these will make way to notes of baking spices and cedar. The palate is full, with a generous mouthfeel, showcasing layers of plum, blueberry, blackberry, and toasted almonds, while spiced with cola, tobacco, and mint. The harmonizing acidity provides lift and a refreshing counterbalance to the chalky Coombsville tannins. This wine will retain its vibrancy as it ages, while developing deeper layers and expanding into a more velvety palate, and rewarding patience with a beautiful, earthy bouquet.
The 2015 Riley’s Rows Chardonnay North Coast has an expressive nose that encompasses both tropical fruits and barrel notes. The vintage character means that this wine shows a riper fruit profile. Pear and stone fruits like peach and apricot predominate rather than the citrus notes we typically see in cooler years.
This 2017 Riley's Rows "3x3" Proprietary Red Blend North Coast, is an awesome reflection of some of our favorite North Coast vineyard sites. A blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a delicious cuvee with great balance between fruit, tannin, and acidity.
The wine has a bright nose of fresh peach and ripe citrus. The palate reveals notes of Honeydew melon, plum, and Blood orange. The 2020 Riley’s Rows Rosé is delightful on its own but has the character and depth of flavor to pair with food. It can be enjoyed on the pontoon boat or with a duck confit salad at a top restaurant.
The 2020 Riley’s Rows Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from the Redwood Valley Grape Ranch, which we own and farm in Mendocino County. The wine offers a bright nose of melon and citrus blossom. The palate opens with ripe Meyer lemon and resolves into a delightful Ruby Red grapefruit note. The goal with this wine is to offer a fresh style of Sauvignon Blanc with pretty fruit, great acidity, and a clean finish. As always, it is desired to make this a varietally-correct wine that is well made, delicious, and affordable. Pairs beautifully with fresh seafood like a sea bass or scallop crudo or sashimi.
