The 2015 Roy Estate "Mr. Evans" demands immediate attention with its deep, rich color, and further tantalizes with aromatics of dark, red fruits with a hint of savory herbs and baking spices. Lush and rich from the outset, this layered wine possesses a refined and sophisticated mouthfeel and reveals notes of blackberry, chocolate-covered cherry, black currant, and a touch of pine resin.
This is perhaps the most powerful Cabernet Sauvignon ever to come from Roy Estate. The wine is extremely aromatic showing layers of dark fruit, tobacco and cassis. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, bold and rich with ample blackberry, blueberry, cherry and dark chocolate. The wine possesses beautiful texture, a hint of sweetness and lingering finish. Well-integrated, silky tannins and nice acidity lift the wine. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a compelling example of the depth and power of the wines produced from this unique site. It is already drinking stunningly and will keep improving for the next 15-20 years.
The wine you are about to enjoy is produced by M.H.M. Wine Company of Napa, a very small wine venture started by Eric B. Mercier, who moved to California from his native Québec back in 1991. The 2014 vintage was produced from 100% Napa Valley fruit by the talented Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueno Winery.
Classic notes of cherry and sweet grenadine with sustained French oak and plenty of vanilla on the nose, followed by a rich, fruit forward mouthfeel typical of the 2015 vintage. Very gentle tannins on the finish – an easy drinking and pleasing vintage awaits you!
Classic notes of cherries and blackberries followed by a nice touch of vanilla for this dark red wine. A well-structured, balanced French oak touch in the mouth brings licorice and roasted caramel flavors over a long finish. Another outstanding vintage for Tela that brings you consistent quality.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely limited production - Juicy vivid fruit of black cherry and pomegranate with blackberry preserves. Hints of dark chocolate, fresh tobacco leaf, wet stone and earth. Soft and lush in texture with fine grain tannins. Final notes of vanilla bean and cinnamon add richness and depth.
“Our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dense and serious representation of Napa Valley. The concentration of this wine is an expression of the drought experienced by the vines during the 2014 growing season. Upon bottling, licorice and wild blackberries fill the glass along with nuances of camphor, biscuit and toffee.” Winemaker – Daniel Person
“Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon demonstrates freshness and poise. It exhibits black cherry, anise biscotti, and dried tobacco in the nose. The palate is immediate and intense, showing graphite, dark fruits, and finishing with dried sage. This wine is filled with tension and should age gracefully for many years.” Winemaker – Daniel Person
"Lori's Lucky Penny" Sauvignon Blanc opens with exquisite aromas of crisp white stone fruits and flintiness. Gentle swirling brings out the bright citrus notes and hints of passion fruit. The wine enters the palate with white nectarine, wet stone and lemon oil, a signature of "Lori's Lucky Penny". The high-acid fruit profile is flawlessly balanced by the rich texture given from the tightest grain water-bent barrels. This unique stave-bending method allows us to let the fruit shine while still adding brilliant texture and complexity. This is French oak integration at its very finest.
The 2016 vintage was ideal for Bordeaux varietals on Mt. Veeder. The growing season saw little fog and the fruit ripened along a nearly perfect curve. The resulting wine is bright and complex with quintessential Cabernet Franc qualities. Accents of spicy, red fruit and earthy, coffee tones perpetuate a lingering and powerful finish. Our 2016 wines will continue to evolve in the cellar for decades to come but the balance and class of the vintage will allow them to be enjoyed young as well.
